Senior Project Manager

Would you like to work with project management in one of Norway’s most exciting finance functions?

The Finance Systems & Processes department is responsible for ensuring optimal finance systems and processes across the finance function, executing transformation initiatives and managing project portfolios within finance in Schibsted. The department consists of 17 dedicated professionals, including three senior project managers as well as external project managers and professionals. The project managers are organized as a Finance PMO, collaborating with Group PMO. Besides project managers, the department has a team of process analysts and a team of system managers and system specialists as well as an architect.

Role Overview

We are now looking for a new Senior Project Manager with extended responsibility for project portfolio management. In this role you will have an important role in managing finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across our finance function, ensuring that Schibsted remains competitive and future-proofed in the fast-paced digital landscape. You will work with project and portfolio management across financial management, technology, processes and people.

The role reports to the Head of Finance Systems and Processes. The position is located in Oslo and may require some sporadic travel between our offices in the Nordic capitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage finance transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Manage the finance project portfolio
  • Manage the finance project methodology
  • Manage the project management tool, Asana
  • Manage the department’s use of and proficiency in using Asana
  • Manage the department’s alignment and knowledge sharing with group PMO

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in IT, finance, accounting or related field
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant work experience
  • A strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Ideally at least 2 years’ experience as an advisor at a management consulting firm, like a big four firm or similar consultancy
  • Ideally at least 2 years’ experience from finance transformation initiatives
  • Ideally a project management certification, preferably Prince2 Practitioner
  • Ideally a proven familiarity with finance systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal ability in English and preferably in Norwegian or Swedish
